"Seeing the innovative ideas of other masters strengthens our determination to revitalize traditional painting and attract younger audiences," Liu said.

The event also featured interactive experience zones and folk performances, allowing visitors to engage directly with the heritage and help it shine with new vitality in the new era.

Wuqiang woodblock painting originated in the Song (960-1279) and Yuan (1271-1368) dynasties and flourished during the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911). Known for its bright colors, vivid themes and auspicious meanings, it is often called "the microcosm of China's farming society".

In 2006, Wuqiang New Year painting, which is popular in Hebei, was inscribed on China's national intangible cultural heritage list.
