Ahead of this year's Cultural and Natural Heritage Day, Starbucks China launched its first "Heritage Mothers Week", a nationwide initiative designed to showcase China's intangible cultural heritage while supporting female craft inheritors in rural communities.
Running from June 9 to 14, the program was held at seven Starbucks heritage-themed stores and more than 1,500 stores nationwide offering craft-related activities. Customers were invited to participate in cultural experiences ranging from artisan workshops to talks by traditional craft practitioners.
The initiative represents the latest chapter in Starbucks China's long-term commitment to preserving intangible cultural heritage and empowering women. Since 2020, the Starbucks Foundation has supported programs focused on heritage preservation, entrepreneurship, skills training, and economic development in rural communities.
